Mining
Plant components for maximum stress

Germany is one of the classic European mining regions with a long tradition of extracting and processing raw materials. Until the 19th century, lead, copper, silver and iron were the main minerals extracted. Subsequently, the focus was on coal and iron as part of the industrial revolution and the coal and steel industry.

Mining is an industry that has left deep traces in German history. In the German coal and steel regions, a special mining-specific culture developed that contributed to or even initiated the development of regional identities.

Also, a mining science was established in Germany earlier than elsewhere, which devoted a great deal of technical attention to mining.

To this day, this commitment extends to and above all into other Eastern European countries.

Sprockhövel
the cradle of Ruhr mining

In some respects, Sprockhövel can indeed be considered the cradle of Ruhr mining. It was from here that hard coal mining developed continuously as an economic endeavor from the 15th century onward. Sprockhövel entrepreneurs later became involved in other mines throughout the Ruhr region, helping to create the economic basis for the spread of coal mining.

Conveying and transport tasks in mining, in industry and on long hauls, above or underground, have been handled by conveyor belts for decades. The bulk material can be transported directly without additional containers, and the conveyor belts also have a very high load-bearing capacity. They also have a very high operational reliability, which has proven itself in many fields of application.
